The Champagne Historie HII.X by André Heucq is a Blanc de Blancs of remarkable depth, a pure expression of Chardonnay grown in Cuisles, a village that embodies the artisanal sensitivity of the Domaine. Created as a tribute to memory and the continuity of time, this cuvée represents a precious chapter in the family’s history, where tradition and the pursuit of balance merge into a language of light and finesse.
Vinification takes place in oak barrels, where the wine matures for about 12 months before bottling. It is then aged on its lees for at least 10 years, gaining complexity, harmony, and extraordinary depth of flavor. The zero dosage – Brut Nature – reflects the desire to express Chardonnay in its most authentic form, enhancing the mineral purity and tension of the terroir.
On the palate, Historie HII.X appears golden and luminous, with fine, steady bubbles. The bouquet reveals nuances of toasted hazelnut, ripe citrus, honey, and delicate hints of vanilla and sweet smoke. The taste is broad and velvety, sustained by vertical freshness and an elegant minerality that leads to a long, refined, and profoundly saline finish.
