Hommage Parcellaire Les Vignes Blanches 2015

The Champagne Les Vignes Blanches by André Heucq is one of the most intimate and rigorous expressions of the Hommage Parcellaire collection, the series of single-parcel, vintage Champagnes through which the Domaine gives voice to its individual parcels. The grapes come from the lieu-dit of the same name, located near the village of Cuisles, where a calcareous and clay soil gives the wine tension, depth and a mineral imprint of rare clarity, faithfully conveying the character of a single plot.

This edition, Vintage 2015, is a Blanc de Blancs made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes and interpreted with an approach that favours precision and the expression of terroir. Vinification and maturation take place in fût de chêne, a choice that brings structure and complexity without altering the purity of the fruit. After tirage, the wine rests on the lees for at least 60 months, while the absence of final dosage, in Brut Nature style, enhances the powerful and taut profile of this authentic Champagne de Terroir.

On tasting, Les Vignes Blanches 2015 shows a pale gold colour with greenish reflections, enlivened by a fine, abundant and rapid perlage that creates a lively sparkling sensation. The nose opens with floral notes of narcissus, mimosa and fresh honey, then evolves towards vegetal hints of verbena and fern, accompanied by almond, fresh hazelnut, breadcrumbs and an iodine touch. On the palate it proves precise and sharp, with a dense texture rich in substance, supported by a cutting liveliness that sets the rhythm through to a long, mouthwatering and extremely taut finish, marked by a pronounced saline and stony minerality and delicate hints of white pepper. Production in a limited run of 700 bottles.
