Solemme

The Domaine Solemme is based in Villers-aux-Nœuds, just a few kilometers south of Reims, in the heart of the Montagne de Reims. Since 1998, Olivier Langlais, the sixth generation of vignerons, has been managing the estate’s 6 hectares of vineyards divided among five Premier Cru terroirs of the Montagne de Reims and a parcel in the Vallée de l’Ardre, following an approach rooted in respect for nature and harmony between vineyard and environment.

The soils, with their remarkable geological diversity, combine chalk, clay-limestone, silt, and sand, with exposures ranging from flatlands to gentle slopes. This pedoclimatic mosaic allows the three emblematic Champagne grape varieties – Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Meunier – to fully express their identity, giving life to cuvées distinguished by aromatic breadth, elegance, and vibrant minerality.

Faithful to a philosophy of natural winemaking, Olivier has constantly refined his vineyard and cellar practices to enhance the authenticity of his wines. Today, the Domaine welcomes the seventh generation with Clément, Olivier’s son and trained oenologist, who joins his father in a path where tradition and innovation intertwine, consolidating Solemme’s distinctive style.
