Champagne Le Mont Aigu by Roland Champion is the result of 100% Chardonnay from the vineyard of the property parcel of the same name (lieu-dit) in Chouilly, a Grand Cru village on the Côte des Blancs. Vintage 2017, this cuvée was elaborated following an artisanal method, vinified in fût de chêne and aged sur lies for 10 months. No added dosage - Brut Nature. Limited edition of only 1,672 bottles. It is an expressive and lively Blanc de Blancs, which expresses all the typicality of the chalky soils of the area. Floral and fruity notes stand out on the nose, honey, dried fruit and pastry notes on the finish. The palate is fruity with a marked minerality that gives it a balanced savory touch. Long finish. Ideal to accompany any meal

Champagne Roland Champion

For four generations the Roland family has been producing its own Champagne in Chouilly, in the famous Côte des Blancs on the best land for the renowned Chardonnay grape. The history of the family begins in 1929 with André Champion and his "Champagne André Champion", marketed for the first time in those years. His premature death launched his eldest son Roland at the helm of the company which was renamed "Champagne Roland Champion" in 1951. Since then the descendants of Roland and Jacqueline Champion, namely François, Vincent and Clara and their children Carole, Ambroise, Clémence, Astrid and Félix have proudly carried on the family legacy. Currently François Champion, Roland's son, is the Domaine's oenologist and is supported by his daughter Carole. The property consists of 18 hectares of vineyards divided into 40 parcels located in the surroundings of Chouilly (Côte des Blancs), Verneuil and Vandière (Vallée de la Marne). The grapes are classified as 90% Chardonnay, 8% Meunier and 2% Pinot Noir.
