Description

Champagne Robert Moncuit
Réserve Perpétuelle Magnum

The Champagne Réserve Perpétuelle is a Blanc de Blancs made of 100% Chardonnay grapes coming only from vineyards classified as Grand Cru, located in the Côte des Blancs. This Cuvèe combines the freshness and complexity given by the blending of several vintages starting from the 2006 one - stored in oak barrels of 140 hl - and renewed year after year with the addition of the latest harvest. A Champagne with an unprecedented complexity, great freshness in perfect harmony with the magnificent maturity.

Champagne Robert Moncuit

It was Alex Moncuit, Robert's grandfather, who planted the first vineyard and several years later, his son Alexander, who married Henriette Launois in 1907, enlarged the Domaine through various new acquisitions of vineyards. It was then Robert, the third generation of the Moncuit family, who began marketing the first Cuvée de Champagne Moncuit, in 1935. Today, the reins of this beautiful estate in the heart of the Côte des Blancs are in the hands of his daughter Françoise and grandson Pierre Amillet, the fourth and fifth generations respectively. While remaining firmly rooted in historical traditions, they have embraced clean and sustainable viticulture, which does not involve the use of chemical pesticides. The vineyards extend for about 8 hectares in the surroundings of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger - a village classified as Grand Cru in the Côte des Blancs - on calcareous and chalky soils. The area is particularly suitable for the production of Champagnes Blanc de Blancs from 100% Chardonnay grapes. For the vinification of their grapes steel tanks are used and, depending on the Cuvée, some musts are vinified directly in wood - in oak barrels. During the harvest, strictly by hand, the selection of the grapes is almost maniacal, while the vinification is aimed at enhancing the personality and identity of each Cuvée. In the great panorama of the Champagne region, Robert Moncuit represents a small oenological pearl with Champagnes that, sought after throughout the world, are synonymous with elegance and refinement.
