Vieilles Vignes Vintage 2019The Champagne Vieilles Vignes Vintage 2019 by Pauline Collin Bérêche originates from the Premier Cru of Ludes, a unique terroir in the Montagne de Reims, characterized by rolling hills and dense forests, which contribute to the vineyard’s natural balance. The old vines, cultivated on deep limestone soils and located mid-slope, take root in an outcropping chalk soil. This Champagne is the result of a blend composed of 60% Pinot Noir, 35% Chardonnay, and 5% Petit Meslier, offering elegance and fully expressing its authenticity through minimal intervention viticulture, allowing the wine to evolve naturally while preserving freshness, structure, and aromatic complexity.
The spontaneous and slow fermentation takes place in fût de chêne, followed by a long aging on lees, in accordance with the purest champenoise tradition. To enhance its authenticity, no final dosage is added, highlighting the wine’s purity and precision. Production is extremely limited to 9,702 bottles, making this cuvée a rare gem to discover and appreciate.

Pauline Bérêche, wife of Raphaël Bérêche, has embarked on an ambitious journey, bringing her family’s winemaking heritage back into the spotlight. After years at Domaine Collin-Guillaume, owned by her father, she created her own label to highlight the terroir of Ludes. With a valuable heritage of old vines on deep limestone soils, she initiated the organic conversion of her vineyards, promoting a more sustainable ecosystem. Her approach, rooted in purity and tradition, favors non-interventionist winemaking, allowing her cuvées to fully express the identity of the terroir.
In Ludes, an exceptional Premier Cru, the vineyards thrive on west- and north-facing slopes, benefiting from a unique terroir that imparts structure, freshness, and aromatic complexity to the wines. Since 2016, Pauline has chosen to bottle every vintage, without compromise or trends, allowing the wine itself to narrate its natural evolution. Her talent and innovative vision are establishing her as one of the emerging figures in the Montagne de Reims, positioning her among the most promising vignerons in Champagne.
