Easter is coming! Discover our limited edition Collections

It is not the first time that we have told you about our Collections and if you follow us you will surely know them.

But for those who don't know them yet and want to learn more, perhaps taking advantage of Easter to try something unique and unobtainable elsewhere, then you should absolutely continue reading.

The Glugulp! Collections are a limited edition of Glugulp! branded wooden cases, each containing a fine selection of six bottles of Champagne, unique labels of the most sought-after Maisons and Vignerons chosen precisely for their exceptional nature. From the "horizontal" to the "vertical" experiences, we pass through the "Cuvée de Prestige" containing the maximum expressions of each producer, and the "Special" cases which are made exclusively with particular and rare Champagnes. In the "A good year" Collections, the bottles are from the same great vintage from different producers and are also a useful didactic experiment to evaluate the aging potential of wines.

Whether you give them as a gift or decide to keep for yourself, Glugulp! Collections will allow you to live an original and exclusive tasting experience. If you want to find out more, you can find all our Collections here.

And if the exclusivity is what you are most looking for, then focus on the "Horizontal Experience" - Vigneron Collection: a "Special" collection containing the Champagnes of the most popular Vignerons in the selection "Special Pinot Noir", "Special Chardonnay", "Special Meunier” and “Special Cuvée d'Assemblage”.

If Egly-Ouriet and Domaine La Closerie are some of your favorite Vignerons then the “Special Meunier” case is for you, a limited edition of six 100% Meunier Champagnes of extraordinary style. We have recently tasted these two inimitable Vignerons and we can offer you this collection with some of their excellent Cuvées.

egly_ouriet_jerome_prevost_la_closerie_vignes_de_vrigny_glugulp-1.jpgThe Vignes de Vrigny of Egly Ouriet, for example, is the emblem of the uniqueness of the Montagne de Reims: Premier Cru from grapes from the vineyard owned by Vrigny, Egly was in fact one of the first producer to create a pure Meunier. Spontaneous fermentation without added yeasts, a part of which is done in wood, no filtration and minimum dosage for this Champagne of great expressiveness, complexity and magnificent aging potential.

If we talk about Montagne de Reims it is impossible not to mention him, Jérôme Prévost de La Closerie. Among his Champagnes we can find Champagne "&", a real rarity: an extraordinary extra brut Champagne, with personality, a bouquet of complex and deep aromas with a finish of great freshness. We are in Gueux and Jérôme does a great job both in the vineyard and in the cellar, a process that follows the rhythms of nature without the use of pesticides and herbicides. Natural vinification and fermentation with indigenous yeasts in French oak barrels.

We continue to remain in the Montagne de Reims and move to Coulommes – la – Montagne to find Laurent Lépitre, a young Vigneron heir to a family tradition spanning over a century. His extra brut Levant 2017 is a real author's Champagne, a Blanc de Meunier that vinifies and ages in 228L barrels, minimal interventions in the cellar, natural vinification and spontaneous fermentation. A producer still in his debut but already in great demand and who is already making headlines.

Benoît Déhu, with his distinctive style and a production philosophy based only on biodynamic methods, has been a point of reference for Champagne enthusiasts for many years. His Cuvée De La Rue Des Noyers V16 is an intense and energetic vintage brut nature Champagne, with a distinctive mineral profile. His production is small but his strong roots project Benoît Déhu among the most sought-after Vignerons in the Vallée de la Marne.

Together with him, Éric Taillet also ranks in the front row among the Vignerons of excellence: it was 1995 when he got the management of the Domaine, taking over from his producer father already in the 60s. Exceptional exegete of Meunier, his extra brut Bois de Binson 14.16 amazes when tasted: richness, depth and impressive length, but also balance that pushes those who taste it to want to deepen with subsequent tastings. A multi vintage Champagne, blend of the 2014 and 2016 vintages, which ages sur lies in cuve and in barrique and rests in the bottle for a total of 40 months. A great producer and a great Meunier.

La Parcelle Champagnes by Chevreux-Bournazel are a very limited production of the 0.4 hectares owned by Stephanie Chevreux and Julien Bournazel grown only in Meunier in Connigis, in the Vallée de la Marne. A reality recently born (2012) and immediately suited to the foundations of biodynamic agriculture, its Champagnes with character are immediately projected among the excellent Meuniers of the area. Spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts in fût de chêne with bâtonnage according to the lunar rhythm, without filtration and clarification. Champagne brut nature La Capella V17 represents all the power and intensity of the Chevreux-Bournazel style, a tense, sometimes rough, but incredibly exciting style.
