Louis Roederer is an exceptional Maison with foundations firmly rooted in tradition but at the same time constantly developing. This Champagne is the fourth wine with no filan dosage - making it a Brut Nature - produced by the Maison, a single vintage from Lieu-Dit La Rivière, a Biodynamically managed vineyard in the village of Cumierès, a Premier Cru in the Vallée de la Marne. The 2015 vintage is extraordinary, perfectly in line with the continental trend of the decade: mild, wet winter and hot, dry summer. The summer, which was hot and sunny, will be remembered for its record heat and drought, but fortunately, in the second half of August, a saving rain brought much-needed relief to the vines. The ripening, thanks to this cool finish, will result in juicy, ripe and concentrated grapes. A spectacular vintage!

A small percentage of Pinot Noir is added to the Cuvée of Brut Nature Rosé 2012 - harvested separately and macerated for a few days in cold conditions - resulting in an excellent combination of fruitiness, sweetness and saline freshness.

The Champagne Brut Nature Rosé 2012 by Louis Roederer presents itself to the eye with a bright, fresh pink colour and a generous, slow effervescence. On the nose, the intense Pinot Noir bouquet mixes delicate citrus (Etna blood orange), red fruits (currants) and spices (a hint of camphor). With aeration, the red fruits combine with notes of honey reminiscent of gingerbread. The palate has an enveloping, juicy, concentrated and fruity attack. The sun-rich fruit and sugary texture give the impression of biting into a perfectly ripe blackberry. Masterfully sensual balance thanks to the structure, the dense matter perfectly balancing the zero dosage. This is followed by slightly spicy (camphor), smoky and iodine notes that introduce a sensation of Umami.

Produced in a limited edition with the collaboration of renowned designer Philippe Stark, who signed the original habillage of the Brut Nature Rosé 2012.
