Lilbert-Fils

Lilbert-Fils is a historic name in the Côte des Blancs, based in Cramant, a Grand Cru village among the most renowned for Chardonnay. Founded in the 19th century, it is now run by Bertrand Lilbert, heir to a family tradition that has always focused on artisan, small-scale production, with deep respect for both the terroir and a classical style. The Domaine covers just 3.5 hectares, spread across the Grand Cru villages of Cramant, Chouilly and Oiry, all on chalky soils, ideal for expressing purity and tension

The vines, grown according to sustainable farming practices, produce exclusively Chardonnay grapes, the base for a range of Blanc de Blancs Champagnes of great finesse and depth. Vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks, to best preserve the freshness and varietal precision. No oak barrels or malolactic fermentation are used— a stylistic choice that helps retain the wine’s natural acidity and ensures great ageing potential

The ageing on lees is extended, with manual disgorgement and very low dosage. The Lilbert-Fils style is defined by its elegance, minerality, and expressive clarity. Each cuvée, from the classic Blanc de Blancs to the prestigious Perle, offers a pure and rigorous interpretation of the terroir. The limited production and artisan approach make these wines especially valued by Champagne lovers all over the world.
