Jérôme Blin

Rooted in Vincelles, in the Vallée de la Marne, Jérôme Blin carries on the legacy of a family of vignerons active since 1671. After a long academic and professional journey through biology, agri-food sciences, and viticulture, he returned to his family’s land in 1996. Inspired by experiences in Australia, Minervois, and Champagne, Blin embraced a holistic approach and began the transition to organic viticulture, certified since 2013.

Jérôme Blin’s philosophy is driven by a deep respect for life and natural balance. His estate, located in Trélou-sur-Marne, integrates permaculture, agroforestry, beekeeping, and eco-grazing into a self-sustaining agricultural ecosystem. On roughly 3 hectares, he mainly grows Meunier, alongside Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and forgotten grapes (cépages oubliés) like Petit Meslier, Pinot Gris, and Pinot Blanc.

In the cellar, Jérôme vinifies his musts independently with a craft and low-intervention style. He loves to experiment with barrels, amphorae, indigenous yeasts, avoiding filtration and minimizing sulfur use. His aim is to fully express the truth of the terroir through parcel-based micro-vinification. The “Champagne Jérôme Blin” project began in 2010 and has grown steadily, marked by a production that is consistent, sensitive, and deeply rooted in identity.
