Sacy Soeur & Frère

Champagne Sacy Sœur & Frère is the project through which Yaël and Jonathan Sacy, sister and brother, give a new voice to a family of vignerons rooted in Verzy for thirteen generations. In 2018 they took over the family Domaine Louis de Sacy, eager to combine modernity with deep respect for the terroir. From this vision comes a signature of their own, introduced in 2023 with new vinifications and designed to express the purity of the grape varieties and the most intimate identity of each parcel.

The Domaine is based in Verzy, a Grand Cru village on the north-eastern slope of the Montagne de Reims, where family tradition meets a fresh outlook. In the cellar each parcel is vinified separately, mainly in stainless-steel tanks but also in barrels and demi-muids depending on the cuvée, to bring out the complexity of the terroir. Aesthetics tell the Domaine’s story too, with labels drawn by a local artist that evoke the family’s history and its bond with the land.

The vineyard covers around eighteen hectares divided into some twenty parcels, mostly Pinot Noir, across Verzy, Cernay-lès-Reims and Treslon. Today the Domaine is certified organic and looks with interest towards biodynamics, with constant attention to biodiversity and to the life of carefully tended soils. The result is pure, precise Champagnes, well worth discovering with curiosity to be won over by the youngest and most authentic face of Verzy.
