The Coteaux Champenois Rouge Les Travers des Courtisols by Sacy Soeur & Frère is a red wine of great elegance and territorial identity, made exclusively from Pinot Noir grapes sourced from the Lieu-Dit “Les Courtisols”, located near the Grand Cru of Verzy, in the Montagne de Reims. This micro-cuvée represents one of the purest and most genuine expressions of Champenois Pinot Noir, capable of revealing, in a still form, the depth and precision of Verzy’s terroir.
The edition, 2022 harvest, produced grapes of extraordinary aromatic finesse, vinified through spontaneous fermentation in fût de chêne, without filtration or fining, to preserve the texture and authenticity of the fruit. The wine then matures for several months in small French oak barrels, where it develops harmony and complexity. The decision to avoid invasive winemaking practices fully reflects the artisanal and natural philosophy of the Sacy family, who pursue balance and expressive transparency in every detail.
On tasting, Les Travers des Courtisols displays a bright ruby color with garnet reflections. The nose reveals notes of ripe cherry, wild strawberry, and pomegranate, accompanied by hints of pink pepper, dried rose petals, and subtle chalky minerality. The palate is silky and dynamic, supported by vibrant freshness and ultra-fine tannins, leading to an elegant, long, and savory finish. A Coteaux Champenois Rouge of rare precision, combining energy, elegance, and authenticity, perfectly embodying the modern and respectful spirit of Sacy Soeur & Frère.
