Champagne Perseval-Farge
La Pucelle
The Champagne La Pucelle by Perseval-Farge originates from the eponymous parcel located in the Premier Cru village of Chamery, in the Montagne de Reims, from vines over 30 years old. This Blanc de Noirs from Pinot Noir stands out as a single-parcel cuvée of strong identity, capable of expressing with precision and depth the character of the lieu-dit, offering an authentic and rigorous interpretation of the terroir.
This edition, from the 2014 vintage, undergoes vinification and fermentation primarily in oak barrels, with only partial malolactic fermentation, a choice that preserves balance and tension. After bottling, the wine undergoes at least 9 years of ageing on the lees, essential for developing complexity and structure. The final dosage of 3.4 g/l, in Brut style, supports balance without altering its precision.
On the palate, La Pucelle stands out for its elegant and layered profile. The nose reveals notes of white and yellow fruit, citrus, and candied peel, accompanied by delicate hints of almond. It is mineral and refined, supported by well-integrated freshness and a precise structure, leading to a long, dynamic, and ever-evolving finish. Limited production of only 1,285 bottles.
