Champagne Dehours & Fils
Brisefer - Réserve Perpétuelle
The Champagne Brisefer - Réserve Perpétuelle by Dehours is a Blanc de Blancs made entirely from Chardonnay grown in the lieu-dit of the same name. The east-facing vineyard was planted in 1947 near the village of Mareuil-le-Port and has a strong sense of place.
This edition, based on the 2021 harvest, is vinified and fermented in oak barrels and blended with the réserve perpétuelle started in 2013. The réserve perpétuelle gives the wine depth, stylistic continuity and layered aromatic complexity. The final dosage of 2.8 g/l, in Extra Brut style, finishes the cuvée with restraint and keeps its freshness, tension and precision.
On tasting, Brisefer is elegant, bright and finely chiselled. The nose shows ripe citrus, green apple, white flowers, hints of fresh almond and damp chalk, with a delicate touch of fine pastry from perfectly integrated oak. On the palate it is vertical and vibrant, driven by clear mineral tension and a slender but incisive structure that brings out its purity and length. The finish is long, saline and precise, with citrus notes and a dry, finely sculpted close.
