Champagne Denis Salomon
Histoire de Famille Magnum

Denis Salomon's Champagne Histoire de Famille is made from 100% Meunier from the best grapes in the vineyards located around Vandières and Verneuil villages in the heart of Vallée de la Marne. This Champagne is made from the base of the 2020 vintage (for 75%) vinified with the 2005-2019 vintages using the Solera method (for 25%). Champagne Histoire de Famille Brut vinified in steel tanks, followed by a light filtration and ageing on the lees for 2 years. Malolactic fermentation is not sought; dosage within the parameters of Brut (5 g/l).

This Champagne, also called Carte Noir, is the perfect expression of terroir combined with the know-how of five generations, of which Nicolas Salomon is the heir.

Champagne Brut expresses all its richness of crunchy fruit and it is ideal for an aperitif to share with friends.

Winery

Champagne Denis Salomon

Located in the heart of Vallée de la Marne, in Vandières, with its 4.8 hectares divided into 22 parcels, among which the most important is Chenovières, where the oldest vines on the property are planted since 60 years old, and where Meunier is cultivated; Domaine Denis Salomon respects the traditions combining modernity with traditional methods. The property's brand was created in 1974 by Denis Salomon, and currently, his son Nicolas, who belongs to the fifth generation of the family, has returned after an experience in Bordeaux to take over the management since 2004. Vandières village is situated on sunny slopes overlooking the Vallée de la Marne and the vineyards enjoy a privileged southern exposure. The estate benefits from a terroir composed essentially of marl and the vines cultivated are divided by variety into Meunier (70%); Chardonnay (13%); Pinot Noir (16%); and a small part divided into Arbane, Petit Meslier, Pinot Blanc and Pinot GrisNicolas Salomon, winner of the Jeune Talent du Champagne Award, a competition that promotes creative professionals who show important know-how, has been behind major changes in the production approach, such as the decision to move towards integrated viticulture methods. The Domaine currently produces around 34,000 bottles a year and offers a wide range of Champagnes to suit all tastes, always aiming for the highest quality.
