The Côteaux Champenois Rouge are still red wines produced exclusively in Champagne from Pinot Noir or Meunier grapes, in many cases it is the same wine that is used in the blends of Rosé Champagne. Within the AOC "Côteaux Champenois Rouge", the production benefits from a specific disciplinary which specifies grapes, volumes, yields, methods of vinification and aging. Among the most famous are the red wines classified as Grands Crus, from the villages of Bouzy and Aÿ, original wines rich in fruit, powerful at first sight but which are always extremely smooth on the palate.
