Des Arondes (Domaine)

In Avenay-Val-d’Or, Premier Cru in the Vallée de la Marne, the Domaine des Arondes is characterized by a vineyard area of just over 3 hectares, divided into 28 parcels, which extend up to Avize and Oger, in the Côte des Blancs. The Domaine des Arondes was born in 2023, when Marie-Marjorie, sixth generation of the Laurent-Gabriel Champagne producing family, decided to make a change to the family business by creating her own project, the Domaine des Arondes. 

Arondes, which means swallow in ancient French, is intended to be the symbol of purity and rebirth, a cycle that renews itself between loyalty to the family legacy and the ability of the new generation to continue a necessary evolution. The vines are mostly cultivated with Pinot Noir (82%), Chardonnay (14%) and Meunier (4%) according to the principles of conscious viticulture committed to respecting biodiversity. In the cellar, vinification is done per single parcel and mostly in steel vats and malolactic fermentation is not carried out. Annual production is around 10,000 bottles. 

Marie is involved in experimenting with micro-vinifications from selected plots, with the aim of exploring the specific characteristics of the different areas of the vineyard, highlighting the influences of terroir, climate and cultivation practices on the quality and aromatic profile of the wine. The Champagnes of the Domaine des Arondes are the connection between past and future: Les Sentiers and Les Sentiers Roses, two cuvées inherited from the parents, accompany the new cuvées resulting from Marie's commitment and vision, and which integrate harmoniously with the heritage of the Domaine .
