The history of Lancelot-Pienne began about 120 years ago in Cramant, a village classified as 100% Grand Cru in the renowned Côte des Blancs, thanks to the Lancelot's family of Vigneron. A strong tradition of Vigneron that would be handed down from father to son until 1967 when Albert, Jean-Baptiste Lancelot's son marries Brigitte Pienne, wealthy lady of Champagne, also daughter of Vignerons located in Vallée de la Marne. The vineyards owned by both families, about 8 hectares, would be united to create the current brand: Lancelot-Pienne.
