Rosé de Saignée is a Champagne Rosé obtained by direct maceration of Pinot Noir or Meunier. It is also known as the salting system, more demanding than the normal vinification of the assembly, as it usually requires an excellent maturity of the grapes. This indication is not compulsory on the label, but it is at the discretion of the Maison or Vigneron whether or not to indicate it.
