Gonet-Médeville

Gonet-Médeville is a very young Domaine, founded in 2000 from the union of Xavier Gonet and Julie Médeville, heirs to two great winemaking traditions: the Champenoise tradition of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger and the Bordelais tradition of Sauternes. The Domaine is based in Bisseuil, a Premier Cru in the Vallée de la Marne, and owns 12 hectares divided among three Grand Cru villages (Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Oger, Ambonnay) and three Premier Cru villages (Bisseuil, Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, Trépail), all located in outstanding lieux-dits.

The vineyards enjoy ideal exposures and yield grapes of extraordinary quality, forming the basis of Champagnes with a strong territorial identity. Work in the vineyard prioritizes the pure expression of the terroir, while in the cellar the style is defined by precision, low dosage, and extended aging on the lees. The wines are marked by vibrant minerality, great aromatic finesse, and elegant tension, clearly expressing the nuances of each village.

In just a few years, Gonet-Médeville has established itself as one of the most promising vignerons in Champagne. The Blanc de Noirs cuvée has become the Domaine’s signature: a perfect balance between tradition and innovation. The union of Xavier’s vision, rooted in the Côte des Blancs, and Julie’s, who is also the owner of the historic Château Gilette in Preignac, has created a style that is now recognized and appreciated both in France and around the world.
