Carole Haudot

Carole Haudot is a vigneronne based in Vitry-en-Perthois, in the Coteaux Vitryats, an area of Champagne particularly suited to the cultivation of Chardonnay. Her story began as a family adventure, initiated by her father Charles, who for nearly 40 years developed and lovingly tended the vineyard, adapting farming practices to the temperament of each parcel. Passing on to his daughters both respect for the land and a spirit of enterprise was always fundamental to him, and in this spirit Carole chose to carry on his legacy.

Her training includes studies in agricultural engineering and a diploma in oenology, complemented by experiences in vineyards around the world to refine her vision. Despite her international background, Carole continued to return to the estate to work alongside her father, until she settled there permanently in 2017 and fulfilled her dream of vinifying her own wines, breathing new life into the family project.

The vineyard lies mainly in the Coteaux Vitryats, where the variability of the chalky soils enriches each expression of Chardonnay with nuance. Just a few kilometers away, the grapes of Val-de-Vière reveal more exotic notes, while those of Vitry-en-Perthois show a more mineral profile, with fresh and taut aromas that highlight their territorial identity. This diversity is the strength of Carole Haudot’s work, distinguished by aromatic finesse, gustatory balance, and a faithful expression of the land’s authentic voice.
