The Maison Billecart-Salmon is celebrating 200 years of independence and know-how - handed down over seven generations - with the Cuvée 200 Magnum, assembled to mark its bicentenary and offered in a limited edition (only 1,818 numbered Magnums).

The exceptional Cuvée 200 by Billecart-Salmon represents the expression of a unique Champagne, bringing together eight prestigious Grand Crus from the Montagne de Reims and the Côte des Blancs in a predominantly Pinot Noir blend (92%), complemented by Chardonnay (4%) and Meunier (4%). This "multi-vintage" Champagne bears witness to the art of the Maison, immortalising the expression of four exceptional vintages: 2000, 2003, 2008, 2012.

The Cuvée 200 by Billecart-Salmon has a delicate pale gold colour adorned with sparkling yellow reflections, immediately captured by the fineness of the perfectly structured perlage. Revealing all the nobility of the great terroirs, the aromatic bouquet shows a refined complexity that is discovered by giving the wine time to reveal the extent of its personality. Delicate floral aromas, scents of apple that recall the sweetness of the summer orchard, gourmet notes of toasted nuts... The nose is inebriated by the aromatic power of brilliant scents of citrus fruits. In a perfectly harmonious tension, Billecart-Salmon's Cuvée 200 offers intensity and sapidity. Without losing its intensity, the development in the mouth reveals the complexity of this exceptional Champagne stretching in the wake of a delicious finish marked by minerality. Champagne Billecart-Salmon

Everything started with the marriage between Nicolas François Billecart and Elisabeth Salmon, and Maison Billecart Salmon was born in 1818 in Mareuil-sur-Aÿ. The Maison has remained faithful to traditions and the champenoise vinification process: both principles written down by monks and the ones passed on orally, without forgetting the introduction of modern science principles. The production is controlled by the enologist François Domi, extends over a surface of 10 hectares, integrated by grapes from other producers. It produces around one million bottles a year. Two hundreds year later, the 7th generation of Billecart-Salmon manages the maison and keeps the the legend of this Champagne alive. Grapes can count on a philosophy based on three basic principles: fineness, balance and elegance.
