Champagne Alexandre Bonnet
Rosé 2020

The Champagne Rosé by Alexandre Bonnet is made from 100% Pinot Noir from old vines from its own plots at Les Riceys in the Côte des Bar. The Domaine uses sustainable viticulture practices to preserve and support biodiversity in the vineyards, all its wines are in fact certified HVE - Haute Valeur Environnementale. Grapes are selected according to so-called clonal and massal selection from vines of an average age of around 30 years to preserve their intra-varietal genetic variability.

Harvest 2020 for this Champagne Rosé whose vinification occurs in white and partially in red with manual sorting of the bunches, complete destemming, soft submerged cap maceration and 6 days of maturation in vats. At least 24 months on its lees and dégorgement with a low dosage of 5 g/l - making it an Extra Brut - to preserve its characteristics.

The Champagne Rosé by Alexandre Bonnet is clear and deep pink to the eye. The nose is expressive and complex with red fruits: wild strawberries, raspberries, blackcurrants, redcurrants and spices. The palate is full, delicious, very fruity, lively and structured with silky tannins. The finish is long and refreshing. A charismatic assemblage Champagne Rosé expressing the generous character of the Pinot Noir from Les Riceys.

Champagne Alexandre Bonnet

Located in Les Riceys, the only village in Champagne with three AOCs – Champagne, Rosé des Riceys and Côteaux Champenois – the Domaine Alexandre Bonnet stands as a benchmark in the Côte des Bar. Founded in 1970 by René, Serge and Alain Bonnet, the Domaine is now managed by the family with the support of Arbaud Fabre, appointed CEO in 2019. On steep slopes of Kimmeridgian limestone, the wines develop a singular identity that bridges Champagne and Burgundy.

The vineyard covers about 47 hectares, dedicated to the production of Champagne, Côteaux Champenois Rouge and Rosé des Riceys. The terroir of Les Riceys is expressed through selected parcels that yield wines of great finesse, depth, and authenticity. The winemaking philosophy combines tradition and innovation, with constant attention to grape quality and the precise expression of each plot.

For years, Domaine Alexandre Bonnet has stood out for its commitment to biodiversity: no use of herbicides or insecticides, the planting of orchards along vineyard edges, and the creation of flower fallows for bees. Certified HVE (Haute Valeur Environnementale) since 2015, the Domaine has also established a museum to preserve Champagne’s ancient grape varieties. The union of an exceptional terroir and sustainable practices gives life to refined, terroir-driven cuvées, a faithful reflection of Les Riceys.
