Champagne Alexandre Bonnet
Blanc de Blancs
Champagne Blanc de Blancs by Alexandre Bonnet is the result of assemblage 50% Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay and Petit Meslier, vines from the property plots in Les Riceys in the Côte des Bar. The Domaine uses sustainable viticulture practices to preserve and support biodiversity in the vineyards, all of its wines they are in fact certified HVE - Haute Valeur Environnementale. The grapes are selected according to the so-called clonal and mass selection from vines with an average age of about 30 years to preserve their intra-varietal genetic variability.
Harvest 2019, Champagne Blanc de Blancs ages on the yeasts for at least 36 months, dosage within the Extra Brut parameters.
The Champagne Blanc de Blancs by Alexandre Bonnet has a light gold colour with real reflections. To the nose it is fine and complex with a touch of exoticism: mango, plum, lime, honeysuckle, citrus, fresh almonds and sweet spices. On the palate is soft, underlined by noble bitter flavours and structured with a persistent, saline finish.

Champagne Alexandre Bonnet
We are in Les Riceys, a village in the Côte des Bar known for the production of rosé wines and for being the only one to have three Controlled Designations of Origin (AOC): AOC Champagne, AOC Rosé des Ricey and AOC Coteaux Champenois. On the steepest slopes of Champagne, at the gateway to Burgundy, the Kimmeridgian limestone gives the wines of Les Riceys the unique expression that has made the reputation of its 3 appellations.
The Domaine Alexandre Bonnet is located in this municipality, founded in 1970 by René, Serge and Alain Bonnet and today managed by the family with the support of Arbaud Fabre, appointed CEO in August 2019.
The Alexandre Bonnet wine property has become the emblem of this unique terroir, 47 hectares of vineyards dedicated to the elaboration of Champagne, Coteaux Champenois Rouge and Rosé des Riceys.
The Domaine concretely acts to preserve and develop biodiversity in the vineyards by choosing to not use herbicides or insecticides, planting orchards on the edge of the vineyards and creating flowering fallows for bees. With an HVE - Haute Valeur Environnementale certification since 2015, the Alexandre Bonnet vineyard is also distinguished by the development of a museum to preserve the ancient vines of Champagne. Its exceptional vineyard combined with the knowledge and methods applied in the vineyard and in the cellar, allow the Maison to develop precise and expressive champagnes, which perfectly reflect the Riceys terroir, and to create interesting cuvées.
